Maxi dresses are for me one of the greatest wonders in fashion. Being able to put them with different accessories, bags and contemporary jewelry putting the outfit on an uncertain time in history, I find it fascinating.
In this particular case, today I'm bringing two ideas in partnership with Shein to wear two different dresses with certain vintage mood, which look classy but still, could be even used to dress on a regular basis. The only downside might be that if you are of short stature like me, you will usually have to take your favorite maxi dress to fix (there is nothing uglier than a dress that drags to the floor) or wear a pair of shoes with at least a little heel.
My first proposal for today's article is a red dress with a high neck, inspired by the years 1910-1920, and long bell sleeves. I like this one because it cuts a beautiful figure, it is tight around the waist and the fabric is quite light, so when you walk, it moves in a very vaporous and elegant way. I paired it with a black velvet petite backpack on an attempt to "eclectizice" the outfit, mixing new trends and old looks. The second dress allows you to wear it in all seasons of the year. And I love that! In this case, it was still not a too cold day in Valencia, so I wore it sleeveless, but I think it can look great anyway with a white blouse underneath and a blazer in Winter. This dress has a very fun 50-60's inspiration, with a large A-line skirt that starts almost at the hips, and those buttons throughout the bodice.
So, what about you? Do you love maxi dresses as well?
