5 outfit ideas... For when you are running late!
9:00 AM
I'm no lazy one, but if I have to recognise something is that I absolutely love to sleep. Which means hitting the snooze button more than once maybe not every morning, but more than once per week. Which means running late to class more than I would like to admit.
That usually leads me to having at least one or two emergency outfits which I can pull out of the closet, put on and rush off with one sandwich bit on my mouth, my backpack and keys. It's nonsense, but I've come to accept that as a part of myself *laughs*.
So, for those times when you're running late (to uni, to work, to anywhere) I'll be talking about those emergency outfits and looks you can use to overcome the situation, and how to find the key pieces to make your outfit remarkable (even if you're on the go). Or at least, how I overcome those frantic mornings running late when it comes to fashion. Let's get it started:
1. Biker jacket + jeans + flats
We have quite soft winters here in Valencia, so, our huge coats are of almost no use. Instead, biker and leather jackets are our perfect go to for chilly mornings and the best is that the look pretty good with almost anything. If it's a bit colder, we would go for a knit scarf or cowl for our necks to survive extreme humid weather!
I like to pair mine with my favorite straight jeans and booties or flats if I go for skinny jeans. This is the perfect outfit because it's super easy to just pull out of the closet any pair of jeans, the first T-shirt you see and your biker. Cool and badass outfit done in less than 5 minutes!

2. White plain shirt + dress pants
This might be my almost every-day class uniform, like, at all. A white shirt doesn't need to be boring or too classy: nowadays it's super easy to find different fits and shapes of the regular shirt redesigned with different details, add-ons, necks and bows to lace them up. White shirts may be the most versatile piece EVER created!
I like to pair white, masculine shirts with jeans if I'm in a super lazy mood or with dressy pants and a blazer or cute jacket if the day requires it. You don't have to think too much about it either: just pick the pants and the shirt, accessorize a little bit and you're done!
3. Jeans + accessories
As I deal with ink pens, crayons and crazy ballpoint pens every day which seem to have an inherent love for my person. I might be wearing jeans the 95% of the time I spend at the Architecture School, as they're easy to wash, super comfy and pen stains are of no sight if I end up throwing a whole correction desk arrangement when I'm in a rush (which, happens more than you could imagine).
Jeans are the perfect piece for your running late outfit. May it be sneakers, flats or boots, they're versatile and look cool paired with a plain T-shirt or with dressier pieces. I like to wear my jeans in boyfriend shape with booties or medium-heels, or skinny with flats and booties. Basic + some accessories as a hat or scarves are a great match for saving your running late morning!
4. Dress to impress
Or how to look super classy and neat as quick as possible. Just pick a comfy and simple dress, a pair of basic tights or leggings and your favorite flats or booties. With a hint of makeup and getting your hair done on a messy ponytail or leaving it loose, you're ready for a crazy day full of things to do in less than 15 minutes!
5. Blazers everywhere
Blazers might be one of the most easy to wear pieces ever created. They come in lots of colors, styles, shapes and fabrics so you can wear them either with jeans, your favorite dress, to your everyday classes or on a more formal event. Blazers are great!
I have at least 3 blazers which are my essential go-to, and are also great to pair when running late. Those are the black tailored blazer, the blazer made out of cotton fabric (no need of any dry cleaner!) and the white blazer, which is perfect to pair with those jeans you are going to accessorize as seen at #3 *wink*
