I haven't been into showing too much skin for years. I've been always a very shy girl, who didn't like to feel observed or target of any kind of comments, and wearing a cropped top or even a short meant to me the world. I consider my body to be total average, and it always has been: I'm not tall at all but enough to be taller than most of my friends; I have large shoulders thanks to seven years of swimming classes and my hips are what some might consider as Latina shaped. I even have put on some weight since I left fencing practises a year ago, and daily habits of being seated for great part of the day plus studying quite a though career contributed to that. But it's OK because I feel it that way!

For years I wasn't capable of wearing a top shorter than usual. I just kept hidden in my long brunette hair and whoever said something kind or unkind to me, I just nodded shyly my head.

But now, even I have put on a bit of weight I want to get rid of, and although I keep being a little shy, I don't care at all and I feel capable of wearing whatever I want to. I feel confident enough to wear what I want to and I feel as a superwoman every time I stomp the streets with my heels. To be positive about your body and empowered as a woman is a value I always try to teach any of my friends, but especially the youngest. And I hope you are learning to empower yourselves too!

So. This black crop top is one of those pieces I feel super confident wearing on! It's not very short but still manages to be considered as a crop top, and it's made of a fabric which is not too light nor too thick, so maybe I'll be wearing it in winter with high waisted jeans or something. It's one of those pieces of clothing which go well with almost everything, and pairing it with the suitable bottom parts and accessories makes it able to wear it for the everyday or a more formal event. One of those which I always tell you to invest on!
