Sometimes I just like to go outside and enjoy the amazing weather on Valencia. Have a walk, take some pictures, enjoy window shopping and just got dressed and get myself pampered just for fun. I recommend to go out, get some fresh air and enjoy the streets because every time you go out of home, it would be a total different place.

As my trip to Netherlands was going to be almost 10 day long (in fact, I'm still here enjoying so much architecture that my exhausted body can't hold it...) I wanted to shoot this outfit, following the plain color outfits made with dresses I've been wearing lately. I like yellow because it's super bright, super fun and belongs to this palette of colors which really fit my features and specially hair color and skin. This time, despite my daily makeup I went for a slightly vamp look, with velvet lipstick and darker eyes. I think the combination with the bright colors is unexpected and vibrant, isn't it?

Right after the lace-up sandals, there mesh bootie sandals came to streetstyle, and you can't even imagine how comfy they are. These Lodi ones made my day when I found them on sales! I was looking for them since last year or so, but never found them again...

Still on Netherlands, I can't really wait to show you guys some pictures I've been taking around. This country is so beautiful, so eclectic and peaceful that it doesn't feel even real. Hopefully I'll be on Spain on some days and I'll start telling you about my trip! Have fun meanwhile :)

I fancy quite a lot textures, transparencies and different layers on whatever I wear. As Valencia's weather is not harsh, although you may not wear super thin clothing on winter, you're able to play with some T-shirts, skirts and jackets as different layers. It all depends if it's sunny or not outside.

So, as the summer is being super great around here (warm but not hot, windy and full of evenings filled with an ah-wesome light to shoot) and as I already packed all my things for my trip to Netherlands which consist -sadly- basically on plain T-shirts on white, grey and navy blue, tons of shorts and my super comfy sneakers... Well, I think I deserved to play a bit with dresses and colorful clothing for this holiday mood I've got used to before leaving.

I wanted to match some colors I don't use to put together on estival season: brown and bottle green. Something I really like about this dress is that there's no need of much jewelry and accessories, as the neck itself looks like a statement necklace, and gives the outfit sort of a romantic and elegant touch with that sheer fabric and the embroidery. Looks like a second skin!

Bright colors and especially orange and yellow make me think about Summer and holidays. I don't know why but, although I don't like to follow that ''color conventionalism'' thing which says: ''Dark colors on winter, brights for summer'' I always end up wearing browns, black and super plain colors for Winter, while start wearing neons, patterns and super colorful things from May or April until the end of the Summer. I think my mind needs to be so clear during the classes season that wearing too much color would be a distraction or something like that.

Anyway. Who doesn't love maxi dresses? They're so chic, so easy to wear with flats or high shoes and they come in so many colors and patterns that it's difficult to not fall for one... Or some of them.

For this outfit of the day, I picked my GEOX color-block shoes (they're so soft and comfortable to wear!) and went for that unusual combination red and orange make. I like how the asymmetric shape of the dress makes it super flowy as you walk.

As you're reading this, I'll be packing my luggage and bags for my upcoming trip: the Netherlands. No maxi dresses nor super fancy clothing for me this time, because we're going to walk a lot! (And the space on the suitcases is pretty limited, though...). So, stay tuned at our FanPage and Twitter, because you'll know about me there on the coming week! :)

It's been almost four years since I discovered vintage and thrifting, as well as I started this adventure of blogging as well. I can remember perfectly which was my first thrifted jacket I bought on a little town near Boston, or how I found one of my favorite dresses which have ever been on my closet.

So many things have happened since then, and my love for antique and second hands items has only just keep growing. I'm not an expert about the topic, but I've been developing some skills and ''good practices'' when shopping for vintage clothing. You know: it's all about practice! So, when I recently got asked (more than twice on the last months!) if I could do some teaching about personal tips and tricks to buy the perfect antique or thrifted garment, I thought doing a post about it would be the best fit :)
I was also thinking about another post focused on how to combine and wear vintage and thrifted pieces. Would you like it?

• Differences between vintage and thrifted. This might be the most important thing to keep in mind while shopping. Vintage clothing is usually clothing which has been around for about 20 or more years, which have something special and which clearly has belonged to another era, and could have been worn or not. Not everything from vintage stores has been used and some items even have their tags intact. 
  On the other hand, thrifted clothing may include vintage or not. They're usually pre-owned items, which because of any circumstance have ended on your nearest thrift or second hand store.

One of the first vintage pieces I got: this maroon Williamsbourg Vintage dress. It was a total bargain!

Last post with OhVintageShop and El Altillo Showroom! A little bit out of the ordinary but, here I'm sharing with all of you this 80's inspired outfit, achieved wearing a sparkly blouse over this black jumpsuit and the Pertegaz clutch. Want to get a similar outfit to wear on your party nights out?

It's easier than you might think! Start with a total black base. Jumpsuit, skirt + blouse... It doesn't matter at all. You can play with different shapes and patterns as well. Then, look for a super sparkly jacket or blazer. Does it have shoulder pads? If so, that's amazing. 80's fashion philosophy is simple: the more, the better.

And the final touch are the jewelry: big earrings or statement necklaces. Some of them all together, actually. Tease your hair, add volume and practice "the smokey eye" for your eye makeup, and you're done!

The day Summer Sales started was the same day I went out of home (yes, I had not seen sunlight for a long time, just like a captive) after my final deliveries and exams. Believe it or not, I was amazed to walk on the streets again, with nothing to worry about, no more stress and with that feeling of having achieve my goal this year.

So, that day we went window shopping. Yes. Window shopping, because everybody knows that season sales are best when they're about to end. Anyway. I ended shopping more things than I was supposed to. Specially shoes. More specifically flat shoes and ballerinas. But I can explain it and maybe you'll understand me for doing this... Super insane haul.

First of all: although you can find me wearing heels around here almost everyday, I use so, so much flats on my off-Internet-dayly basis. I spend my winter literally running from here to there on the Architecture School because I'm out of time on this delivery, because I'm late (irresponsible me...) or I just spend so much time around there than at home that my feet end super destroyed and tired at the end of the day. So, I need shoes that are comfortable and super easy to wear.

Plus, ballerinas are really easy to mix with almost any outfit. I find them pretty difficult to find (at least when it comes to size, shape and basic colors I'm addicted to) and sometimes they're a bit pricey. So, when I started finding them along my window shopping morning on my size, the colors I needed for this winter and also at a great price, I couldn't help but start piling up.

My flat shoe haul ended more or less as you see on the picture above: dark grey, mustard, combined white and red ballerinas and these peep toe flats for summer.

Back to our collaboration with OhVintageShop and ''El Altillo'' showroom. Seriously, it was so difficult to chose among all the pictures we shot, but I must do a selection to show you guys. The morning spent on this tiny yet charming space on Valencia was super productive, and we had so much fun shooting this pictures and assembling the outfits that I wasn't totally conscious about what time it was, or how many pics we already had taken.

On this outfit, I picked this edgy, modern and geometric maxi dress from ''El Altillo'', to style it on a sort of playful outfit for a night out, dinner, or for a daily basis just leaving the jacket. The artsy pattern on it looked just so perfect to balance it with some black pieces and the right amount of accessories: this Loewe blazer, my black headband, vintage jewelry, and the LV ''Alma bag'' which I'm totally in love with.

Flowy and super long, every summer I take out of the closet my maxi dresses. Aren't they super comfortable to wear? They usually have these kind of colorful patterns which don't need any accessories, because the dress itself it's just enough for the outfit to pop. Specially if they're vintage, their geometric and usually very colorful patterns will just stand out a lot. By the way, talking about vintage... I've been asked to write about how to shop for second hand items and how I manage to style every single piece, what do you think? Would you like to read about it?

Crop tops. Honestly, I've never liked the ''let's show our bellies'' thing... I feel like it belongs to another era or even planet, like if it really had nothing to do with my personality, I don't know. I'm more the kind of girl who enjoys straight jeans and tight T-shirts to show her ''curves'' (if you like to call them that...).

However as you might know I've been really into changes lately. Not afraid of saying ''yes'' to wear almost whatever, and looking to make a slight makeover to my outfits, I couldn't reject this striped crop top from Mango. I haven't been shopping for a while, but this one came into my wardrobe about a month or two ago, the last time I went out of home (OK. Just kidding. But it feels like I hadn't seen light for years since the last deliveries and exam period was total crazy). I thought it could add some nice navy vibes to any outfit, and make them look fun and modern but still following my style.

For this one, I went for the pattern mix: stripes on stripes. Red on my feet and this Michael Kors tote bag which is super comfortable to wear, and carry tons of things.

Summer is here, isn't it?

Iconic handbags. As a student, I must say my budget is not enough to get the last super trendy, high brand model talking about handbags or clothing in general. So, the the best option for me is to invest on timeless, classic pieces which don't matter the era you're living in: they will be always a success on your outfits, and will be always on trend.

On our visit to OhVintageShop, I had the chance to know more about some iconic models of brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel or MiuMiu. Not only this pieces have such amazing quality that investing on them means you're buying something you'll have your entire life (even you can leave them as a legacy to your relatives) but also, their shape and materiales are breathtaking and the story behind every model is super interesting. On this pictures I'm wearing this LV ''Triangle'' bag in red, which is super comfortable and has this rare long, narrow shape which makes it look really fun.

I paired it with this vintage dress also from OhVintageShop, and put my hair into a messy bun which made the outfit look really 40's inspired. The key was the lack of jewelry: just my pearl earrings and matching necklace. The main characters were the bag and dress.

Fashionart defines themselves as a club for art, fashion, photography and scenery lovers. About a month ago they held a presentation at the Fine Arts Faculty, right behind Architecture School on our campus.

I'm always super interested in attending these events to meet new people, new ideas and look around for some inspiration. The young designers who hosted this catwalk where Eduardo Jairycovich with his ''New Baroque Collection'', Andry Wears for ''Tika Chains'', Mayte Oliver and Anna Vicent. The hall where the catwalks were developed was super crowded and I was super pleased to see that there are so many people around Valencia who cares and loves so much fashion.

A really fun evening filled with music and colors everywhere, seeing the proposals of these young designers who have just landed into the creation of craftsmanship pieces, all of them out of the ordinary, with a line and style that maybe it's still being defined but which will strengthen in coming years for sure. I wish to all of them the best of lucks on their adventure which has just begun.
