Madrid VFNO 2013. As you might know, I visited Madrid about two weeks ago to assist to my first Vogue Fashion Night's Out. Not only for that fashion event, but also to ''commemorate'' the beginning of my new academic year, and get used to the idea that I won't be probably traveling too far again until next holidays...

To be honest, my opinion about the VFNO is not very good: too crowded streets, too young girls waiting on interminable queues to get a free sample or for taking a picture on a promotion photocall... It was truly a night to forget, so my friend and I just went out for a walk around (even I didn't took pictures of the night, just of the outfit at our hotel hall which was really nice), had dinner, laughed a while and went back to the hotel.

Madrid is a great city where you can do lots of things. So our three day whirlwind trip was full of visits and things we wanted to see or places to go: ''Museo del Traje'', School of Architecture, ''Las Rozas outlet'', El Retiro... A bit of shopping, a bit of shooting, some visits to museums and above all a peaceful trip to start right the new year on College.

Life behind pink crystals. You can see life in pink on this way, certainly. So, when Mister Spex crew asked me to enter on their Autumn Blogger Contest because of the launch of their own sunglasses line I just thought it would be a cool experience and also a great project to show you new eyewear ideas for this Autumn/Winter season. Anything to say about the moment I saw this pink sunnies: absolutely knew I couldn't say no and lose the opportunity.

So, why this outfit? I was supposed to pair the glasses with a Autumn outfit, but I didn't want to get stuck on the typical colors such as grey, green and maroon. So I decided to go on a total opposite mood: colorful and a bit colorblocked. This glasses have a sporty touch with semi transparent lenses, so I paired them with a fun, more modern outfit but still not complicated and very comfy. Not many colors, and neutral touches on white with the sandals and T-shirt. More colors or accessories could have overdone it!

You may have noticed my arm with a bandage. Well, I injured my right wrist on a training (nothing really serious, but had to carry with that at least one week) and couldn't take it off for the pictures, I'm so sorry! It's a pity, but I think this shooting finally came up really well!

BCBG Max Azria. Since I discovered this brand in a vintage store in Madrid and did a bit of research about their collections and design lines, I must say I absolutely fell in love about it! It may be one of my favorite couture brands thanks to that je ne sais quoi BCBG has when putting together the different textures, volumes and shapes of their designs. That special fall on their sheer and light fabrics, the combination of colors and textures which is always perfect, that designs with straight and clean lines which remind me of architecture and sculpture. If I was ever invited to a show on #NYFW (which will hardly happen), I would ask for a seat on Max Azria's fashion show, event if I wasn't seated anyway! Thanks there's still Internet to see the fashion shows, or at least some sneak peeks of them.

For now, I'm happy with my lovely vintage dress bought in Madrid (specifically Williamsbourgh Vintage shop, one of the very first shops which I stepped as a rookie fashion blogger in my search for a different approach to street style and out of the ordinary fashion pieces. Check them out and pay a visit if you're visiting Madrid anytime soon!) and wishing one day I can return to New York, this time for Fashion Week (they say dreaming is free, so why not?). By now, here's a video I found about the Spring/Summer 2014 runway. Very simple scenery and totally uncluttered to allow clothing highlight: asymmetric shapes, crop tops, floral patterns and light colors.

VFNO. As you're reading this, I'm preparing my suitcases and outfits once again this year for a flash three-day trip to Madrid, to enjoy Vogue's Fashion Night Out at the city and meet the new collections for 2014 Autumn/Winter season. Yes, I should be at my Architecture lessons but as I currently started them this week and Thursdays are a day off, it isn't actually so bad to lose a single day of class (but do not follow my example, and I promise not to miss more classes during the school year). The idea about leaving for this event in Madrid was super quick, as we saw the event announcement online and decided to get tickets. It's also a nice opportunity to see some architecture and do some sightseeing as weather is being nice and everybody's outside having drinks and tapas and enjoying our late Spanish lifestyle!

So, this pictures were actually taken before all the mess with the trips this summer, just an afternoon off downtown to buy some supplies for the trips which were coming! I was wearing this lovely asymmetric floral dress I bought at Benetton some years ago. I really think their collections were much better then! This dress is one of the latest special pieces I bought there. I did some adjustments to the lining and asked the seamstress to have the bottom and ruffle part of it linen as well (it was super showy!)

What's the best bargain you ever found on a thrift store?

A little bit of wildness. Summer means for me not only beach and relax, but also change and new things before starting the study period once again. This V-neck bodysuit is a great example, I think it belongs to a style I never tried before but which adds a bit of wildness and that casual touch to the outfit. Bye bye to knee length 50's style dresses with petticoat skirts (at least today). Say hi to a more mature, versatile look which you'll be able to wear on a peaceful afternoon out, or a cool night out! Doesn't this white asymmetrical skirt from H&M a mermaid or fishtail?

These shooting was pretty funny, because although the beach was almost empty, this didn't prevent people staring and looking a bit weird at me. Even someone asked me if I was famous and I was doing some professional shooting (?). This are the typical things you enjoy telling about to your friends, with a cup of healthy cold colorful infusion and some cookies around. Very nice to say bye-bye to summer!
