#BoPo. Or what it means: staying body positive. Everybody deserves to feel great and confident everyday, and fashion should always help on that. Wearing that sparkly dress that makes you thinner, or that lovely jeans that make you taller is something we’re always looking for, no matter our age, style or size.

That’s the motto of the last community I’ve got involved with: BeauCoo. Inspire and get inspired, which is the phrase that makes me work every day, and which actually makes this site possible, is also the quote running behind BeauCoo. No negativity or criticism is allowed here, because this community is a safe place for any woman who wants to inspire with her own style and fashion.

Last New York post. On our last days around the city we kept visiting museums, as well as we went for some thrifting and shopping, which was really fun. I was really excited but also surprised to find things I wouldn’t be able to find here, and much cheaper (Levi’s jeans which are my MUST HAVE EVER, just as an example)!

So, shop-by-shop we stopped on the Metropolitan Museum, especially for the ‘’Punk’’ exhibition, which made me realize how fashion and trends change over the years, and how what it's trendy now couldn’t be cool tomorrow. Fashion is culture and a way of life, so every time I see any exposition related to it I get to take a look and take some notes.

At last but not least, I must talk about this outfit. Example of dressy (maybe too much), comfy and still very cheap outfit. The dress is from a local store, it's a bit heavy but made from a great quality fabric in a really bright green color. The espadrilles are super comfortable and perfect shoes on the go, and they didn’t cost me more than 20$. And the necklace was actually a gift!

Cruise boat around Manhattan. That's what we did on the third stage of our trip to NYC. Taking advantage of the great light around (it was a bit cloudy but still nice) and the awesome landscape near the pier, we took this pictures with the polka dot dress which was a little bit more dressy than the outfits I was been wearing those days. Wearing again my flats, I couldn't survive without them!

Actually, the weather has been one of our most formidable enemies these days. It's been cloudy, not cold at all, but still you had to take your umbrellas so you were prepared in case it started raining. Believe me: carrying with more things than you need when traveling it's awful. And then, sun shone. Crazy weather...

Truth is that the Statue of Liberty did not seem so impressive for me. We didn't go to the balcony, actually saw it from the boat, but there were tons of people and I really preferred the views of the city by the bay. One of the things I like most about this city is imagine its initial planning, how it came to emerge and be so organized.

Museum days. Why a trip to New York City in the middle of summer holidays? There're lots of reasons why: tourism, architecture research, finally meet the city I've been dying for on movies and series, a bit of shopping (OK, actually a LOT of shopping...) and of course, museums because U.S. have lots of awesome pieces from all over the world and it's great for me start training on setting up a museum (maybe I'll build one some day!).

So, on this stage of our trip we came first uptown to ''Mile of the Museums'' on 5th Avenue, to visit Natural History Museum (''Night at the Museum''? You can't lose this movie, but let me say that the real one has nothing to do with the fictional building... At least indoors) and Guggenheim by Frank Lloyd Wright, one of my favorite architects ever. Then we went downtown, to Wall Street (not as impressive as it sounds. It is a very narrow street!) and Ground Zero which really impressed me.

U.S. women dress in a very sexy and elegant but effortless way, so to blend in a bit with them in one of my to-go outfits I decided to wear this low heeled shoes. Absolute success and no one asked me again if I was Spanish!

New York. Finally here are the pictures of the 10-day trip, which will be fragmented on three or four posts because... NYC is a huge city so there're lots of things to tell and many pictures to show!

Let's get started then... First of all, let me tell you that there're some things you absolutely must see as a newbie traveller to New York. The Empire State building is one of those things you can't lose. Breathtaking sights of the entire city, maybe is the best thing you can do on your first day there to get located on the metropolis.

As an architecture enthusiast, I also couldn't avoid visiting some of my favorite buildings and places ever (seen zillion of times on TV series and movies), which are surprisingly close to each other: the Public Library, Central Station, Rockefeller Center and Times Square (really amazing but also overwhelming with so many people around). As you can see, simple outfit for traveling: comfy dress with sailor inspired stripes,  camera bag and black flats. The key is on the accessories!

Vintage flowers. Still out from home, I couldn't wait to show you guys this post before I start telling you my trip to New York.

This dress is actually one of those ''souvenirs'' that always came to Valencia with me every time I travel. I'm that kind of girl who doesn't like those ''I ♥ INSERT HERE NAME OF CITY" T-shirts, or weird figures with the typical things or buildings I see on my trip. Maybe that's okay as a gift for relatives or friends, but as a gift for me I always buy something I can use a lot and it's not common in Spain or near home. No matter if it's a pair of boots or high heels (I came back from Boston with a pair of Troopa boots, remember?) or a typical glass necklace, or a vintage dress like this one bought on Mallorca.

What matters for me is the feeling that a part of that place I visit is with me every time I wear it. It's a kind of mania, haha. Personally, what made me fell in love with this tulle dress was it's purple color and the flowers on the neckline.

Red maxi dress. I will always say that there's no need to spend all your monthly budget to dress elegant and look always perfect. Look at this red maxi summer dress. It's elegant, comfy, fresh and wonderfully sewn. It was a total bargain at ModCloth. It's called ''Picking Strawberries Dress''. I love the quality of the fabric (it's light but you can't see through it) and has that V-neck which reminds me Marilyn's white dress. Remember that sometimes it's good to invest a little in some timeless pieces for your wardrobe, but there are also ''must-have bargains''.

For me, red dresses will always have that elegant, sexy and feminine charm I'm always looking for on my outfits. I don't exactly know, they have something lovely that always attract attention wherever you go. If you wear a red dress and your favorite black pumps, you'll probably be successful. Valentino knew it!

As you're reading this, I'm enjoying the iconic streets of New York, its awesome museums and eclectic architecture. However, I must say that a walk downtown on Valencia, where we took photos of today's post neither can compare to this great city. It's just a different feeling. Here seems that everyone is always in a hurry, and everything is so ephemeral!

Luggage. Maybe it's one of my biggest and annoying problems I face when traveling. Preparing your suitcase may seem difficult and exhausting... Shall I take this cute skirt? Do I forgot something? Bleh, my dress came full of creases from the suitcase!!

Striped wedges. As you're reading this, I'm currently working on my suitcases for my trip to NYC next week. Yay! Looks very exciting. New York it's been one of my biggest life inspirations, and walking down and getting lost on its streets sounds truly amazing.

Coming back from Italy and Switzerland trip with College last week doesn't make things easier precisely: there's still luggage and things to put on it's right place, while I'm packing again things for this new trip, plus looking for maps, guides and stuff to put on the same suitcase that went to Ticino. As crazy as it sounds.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to meet my friends as much as I can before leaving, spend cozy mornings at home drawing and preparing new coming projects, or doing some sport. This outfit was one of those I wore to meet up with friends at late afternoon. I love how some details like this striped wedges and bag can absolutely make the difference and add the outfit that different and incredible touch! Doesn't it look a bit futuristic?
