Traveling to Barcelona it's always a pleasure. This city is so inspirational, so mediterranian that there's more than one reason because I love it. Its architecture it's fresh and modern but at the same time has that historic atmosphere I really enjoy.

We went last week for a daytrip to the city, to visit some of its famous buildings (specially from Gaudí) and  take ideas for our future projects. Somehow architecture reminds me to fashion, and everytime I learn something new on my classes I try to apply it to my outfits or DIY: geometrical forms, volumes, lines,  proportions... These could be the main points on architecture, but also in fashion and design.

As this daytrips are totally like a marathon and the weather was pretty changing, I decided to go for the comfy outfit with ankle boots, skinny pants and jean jacket, so I could be warm when it was windy, or cooler when the sun was shining during the morning.

Barcelona's Palau de la Música has such a wonderful modernist architecture I've always loved. Colorful, full of different shapes which somehow reminds me fairytales. Pretty!

Spring underwater. It's what I think every time I see this scarf from Louve De Nordneg. When the team of AGORIQUE proposed me this collaboration for their project, I didn't think twice and accepted. Basically because I find it very important to support new designers and help give exposure to their creations. Second because, why not? Sofi Le Geron, the designer behind this brand makes lovely designs, inspired on surrealism, art and nature.

The scarf I'm wearing is named ''Seahorse bouquet'', and is so silky and light that wearing it on a sunny but cool day was such a pleasure. Its pattern not only reminds me of water but also some floral trees we saw last Friday on a trip to the park for our next class projects.

Another thing I love about this scarf is the fact that it's so huge so you can wear it on about 13817813765 ways. Haha, okay, just kidding. But seriously, I think I managed to style it on about 10 different ways on the same morning, you can see some of them below: like a bolero tied on the back, around the neck with a regular knot, like a belt, following the ancient Greek style with a brooch... The square shape makes super easy to play with the scarf and wear it everyday depending on your mood or the weather outside, in a different way of course.

Meet Sofi Le Geron and her designs at LouveDeNordneg, where art and imagination turn into unique silk scarves and bowties. Sofi studied at London's Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, and launched her brand on 2011. She designs chiffon silk pieces from manipulated photographs of different objects and sculptures created by her own.

Your designs are delicate and very imaginative. How does the main idea of a pattern come up? 

It will all sound very romantic (OMG I’m so French sometimes!!) but for this collection, I used withered flowers from my garden, feathers, leaves, ink, pearls, ribbons, lace, etc. I use these as a base to create miniature sculptures (yes I’m quite small – size 6 and 162cm so I like creating small worlds that fits me!). I spend hours carefully arranging my selection of objects to make sure that the final result is as perfect as possible, harmonious, well balanced and striking by their colours and textures. 

Tell us a little bit about the process that your scarves and bowties follow. Do you use chiffon silk for any particular reason?

I just love silk. It’s so soft on the skin, so delicate, floaty, light but strong at the same time, like the tiny little worms who make it, haha! Because my designs are quite romantic and aerial, so I felt that it was the perfect material to use. 

Do you think there’s any particular pattern, shape or colors that always come on your scarves? Or they just come up in total different ways?

My designs always come up differently, that’s what I prefer when I create patterns: sometimes they really surprise me. When you create something, it’s like psychoanalyzing yourself somehow: you  discover traits of your personality you might not have been aware of. Getting a different result each time is very exciting. But the challenge is to have an harmonious collection and that takes a lot of practice, knowledge and learning. 

Whenever I wear glitter things I always feel like I'm a little lamp or something. I mean, no matter if they're my glitter slippers or even the Karen Millen sparkly bag, which I consider more discreet. I always feel like lots of people stare at me, like saying: ''Oh, look at that girl. She's wearing glitter things. Let's run behind her!!!''

So, this gold sequin dress from Romwe was no exception. But, let's admit it: it's a fun short party dress, perfect for attract all eyes on a disco night, isn't it?

I've always liked bright things, although I don't wear them usually. I find them very inspirational, vibrant and eye-catching.

For this outfit I decided to match the sequins with some color on the heles and clutch, and then the black blazer, which looks like a more ''serious'' garment, so the look stays balanced and I don't resemble a Christmas tree ball.
