Yesterday I didn't have any classes. Yesterday was October 9th, and that means in Valencia it's holiday. Every year we celebrate the entry by Jaime I to the city, who conquered the city about 800 years ago. Honestly, I don't really care about all the institutional acts done this day, but I love the thing that there're fireworks, we can eat ''marzipan fruits'' (bakery shops only start cooking them about a week before 9th October, and never bake them again until the next year. That's a pitty, because they're one of my favourite things on this world, and they're delicious) which are very, very cute, and which are supposed to be gifted from husbands to wifes with a scarf or handkerchief. The tradition is called ''Mocadorà'', and it's very curious...
I also got my Patricia Avendaño polka dot dress (I talked to you about it here) which straps and back has been fixed. I have also been gifted some cute hair accesories (such as rhinestone and pearl combs, hair clips...) which are usually used on wedding updo's and cocktail buns, and a grey fur coat. Anyway, some of them are really wearable and quite discreet for class.
Yesterday we also went out for dinner to ''Los 3 Mares'', which is a great restaurant with traditional dishes next to home. We had some ''bravas'' potatoes (which are fried potatoes with ketchup or spicy sauce, and garlic sauce. Delicious) and sepia sandwiches. I really like the ambient on that restaurant, because it really feels like you're inside an old cruise ship, with all its walls covered with wood and those huge bottles above the shelves. We had a really great time!
About the outfit... I'm not really into color block. I usually prefer monochrome or black/white + something colorful. But I gave it a try, and decided that the yellow top with the blue klein pants didn't look so striking as I thought. I finally decided to pair with them my clip earrings from H&M I got some weeks ago still on sales.
